Sustainable Web Commitment

I believe in the power of digital technologies to enable innovation and progress.

I am also aware of the negative and unnecessary impact those can have on people, society and natural ecosystems if not used wisely.

Advocating, educating and acting for a responsible and efficient use of digital technologies has been part of FRA’s focus since its foundation, both in terms of offering and communications.

On 5th November 2025, FRA has become a signatory of the Sustainable Web Manifesto and committed to the following principles:

  1. Clean: The services I provide and services I use will be powered by renewable energy.

  2. Efficient: The products and services I provide will use the least amount of energy and material resources possible.

  3. Open: The products and services I provide will be accessible, allow for the open exchange of information, and allow users to control their data.

  4. Honest: The products and services I provide will not mislead or exploit users in their design or content.

  5. Regenerative: The products and services I provide will support an economy that nourishes people and planet.

  6. Resilient: The products and services I provide will function in the times and places where people need them most.

“The planet is experiencing unprecedented climate change and the Internet is both part of the problem and the solution.”
